How we use the information we collect
We do not sell or resell your information to any external organization. We will restrict any information sharing, outside of our own organization, to the bare minimum required to support the following legal basis:
- Consent: We may process personal information you’ve given specific consent to use for a specific purpose. (i.e. Providing us with your email to opt into Marketing Email Communications)
- Legitimate Interests: We may process personal information when necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests.
- Performance of a Contract: We may process personal information to fulfill our responsibilities when we contract with you.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information to governmental and legal entities when asked to comply with the law by the following requests including but not limited to: governmental requests, judicial proceedings, and court orders.
- Vital Interests: We may disclose your information to parties if we deem necessary in effort to investigate, prevent, or take action against potential threats to the safety of any person, illegal activity, or as evidence in litigation in which we’re involved
- Vendors, Consultants, and Other Third-Party Service Providers: We may disclose your information to outside entities that have entered into a contract with us to assist us with providing business services aligned to the basis stated above or to help us provide contracted services to you. Unless described in this Policy, we do not share, sell, rent or trade any of your information with third parties for their promotional purposes.
- Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with or during negotiations of any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a porting of our business to another company for them to continue to provide the service.
- Third-Party Advertisers: We may use third-party advertising companies and these companies may use information about your usage of our digital properties or service usage, in order to serve you advertising congruent to your interests, using tracking technology we enable on our digital properties.
Where we store your information
Unless otherwise stated, all data is stored within one or multiple data centers located within the United States of America. All data that Key Forge maintains directly is stored within private instances within Google Cloud Platform and is not shared with Google Cloud Platform representatives.
As aligned within the section “How we use the data we collect,” data shared with partners will also go to their US-based data collection endpoints.
How long we keep your information
Your email address is stored only for the lifetime of your account. Once you’ve requested an account deletion, your email address will be removed from all systems within 30 days. If opted-in to marketing communications, your email address is stored only for as long as you’ve opted-in and will be deleted within 30 days if you unsubscribe from communications.
Personally Identifiable Information may also be kept within Audit Logging and automated systems under the legal basis of legitimate interest to protect all users and organizations that use our services. We will also make those logs available to administrators of organizations, which grants them access to the identifiable information held pertinent to that organization’s own interests. Our copies of logs for security purposes will persist for up to 3 years, after which they will be deleted. Logs provided to an organization are subject to the data storage policy for each organization, and you must contact your organization admin to determine the retention period and any requests concerning the safeguard or deletion of PII that the organization maintains, as Key Forge does not have visibility into those details.
All other information outlined in this policy will persist for 1 year from the activity that captured the information. We reserve the right to persist the Generated Information beyond this time period; however, upon request, we will purge all records of Identifiable Information to remove all identifiable ties to you. Purging Identifiable Information will require Account Deactivation, as we cannot provide our services without it.
If you request your Identifiable Information be purged, we will be able to do so retroactively; however, it is your responsibility not to submit new Identifiable Information (not including the support request itself) into our systems after you’ve made the request. Any information you submit after your request to be removed, such as creating a new account, is seen as new information and would require an additional request. We also reserve the right to inform the administrators of organizations your account is associated with of any requests to purge identifiable information, which may disclose to those administrators enough identifiable information to identify you for further communication between you and them.
